This Christmas Tiramisu is an irresistible holiday dessert that brings festive cheer to your table.

Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
  2. Add mascarpone cheese and mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Combine coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  5. Quickly dip ladyfingers into the coffee mixture, then layer them in a trifle dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  7. Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  8. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the coffee liqueur.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
